It’s official …. Yesterday we had our first bbq at the Wingates. It rained but pffft that did not stop us!
Thanks to Dave and Netti, we all had a great day, with burgers and sausages a plenty and Dave’s chicken was perfect!
Apologies to Netti who I hear took 4 hours cleaning up the mess. Ouch …..
Next time it’s our turn, promise :0)

Congratulation to Eileen Watson will be celebrating her 60th Birthday this weekend.
Sadly Eileen and Michael will be leaving for a new life in Spain at the end of the year and both will be missed. They have both promised that they will come back for visits!
Eileen & Michael have lived in the village for many years, Michael has always had a connection with the cricket club and now a keen golfer, which we are sure he will make the most of in Spain.
Eileen has travelled a lot and has lived in Spain before, she is looking forward to going back and enjoying her retirement with Michael. Eileen’s mother will not be here to celebrate Eileen’s birthday but she will be in our thoughts. Her daughter Stephanie will be going off to university soon, and we hope she is successful in her degree and we hope she also comes back for visits.
Well congratulations Eileen and have a wonderful birthday!
